Paul – Ambassador In Chains

It was an amazing series of events that brought Paul to Rome. What happened during this two-year span? After the close of Acts, we can only learn about Paul and the events of his life from his later writings. During this time the apostle wrote 4 epistles—Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. So, by gleaning info from Paul’s letters, we can learn something about Paul’s trials and achievement during this period. Paul was Christ's representative and he was an ambassador in chains. Yet he has no regrets. Quite the contrary! Paul did not ask for the prison doors to be opened, but that doors of ministry might be opened. It was more important to Paul that he be a faithful minister than a free man. Paul never stopped exhorting the people of God to be diligent in their prayer life.
