Paul wrote powerful letters of encouragement from prison. Paul did not ask for the prison doors to be opened, but that doors of ministry might be opened. God can use us in any circumstance to do his will. Even as we pray for a change in our circumstances, we should also pray that God will accomplish his plan through us right where we are. As Paul and his companions, we can make an impact for Christ even in a world that is basically antagonistic to Christ.  Today we can be the unsung heroes in the continuing story of the spread of the Good News. “The history of the Church’s progress is the history of prayer.”
